Deng wants to continue with GB

Basketball superstar Luol Deng has insisted he wants to carry on playing for Great Britain in the future.

The Chicago Bulls forward admits he is unsure what his future holds with the national side, but he says there are no plans to retire from international duty.

Deng, who arrived in London from Sudan as a child and lived in Brixton before moving to America to chase his NBA dream, helped Britain to just one win in five games in the pool stage at London 2012.

But he believes progress has been made, and he hopes to be around to see it come to fruition.

"It's been an amazing experience so far and even though the games are finished it is still going on," said the 27-year-old.

"I'm still enjoying being with my team-mates and being around the village and I am cherishing every moment.

"I hope to stay with the British team. I really don't know what is going to happen we have got to sit down and see what direction we are trying to take.

"I definitely want to be a part of it, but we have got to see what we are trying to do in the future.

"I know there are changes already and we all want to be a part of it and see what those changes are."
