Paris Saint Germain's Ligue 1 title challenge unravelled all too quickly on Sunday evening as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Nice to leave them three points behind leaders Monaco.
With Unai Emery's side having played a game more than their tile rivals, defeat at the Allianz Riviera means they could well lose their title as French champions.
And with their hopes of retaining their crown fading fast, it's safe to say the PSG players lost their heads as captain Thiago Motta was given his marching orders for a headbutt on Paul Baysse, before Angel Di Maria was also shown a straight red card for fairly horrendous lunge on Arnaud Souquet.
The former Manchester United star had no intention of winning the ball as he slid in with his studs raised far too high.
Di Maria himself was able to look fairly mortified when he was sent off, but surely he will have known that he left the referee with little choice.
Both he and Motta could well miss the rest of PSG's Ligue 1 campaign, as the pressure continues to mount on Emery and his men who look set to miss out on the title for the first time in five seasons.
