Cricket: Dickwella to miss rest of ODI series with fractured hand

He missed the first ODI through suspension and now injury means Niroshan Dickwella is out of the series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Niroshan Dickwella will play no part in Sri Lanka's one-day international series against Bangladesh after being ruled out with a hand injury.

The batsman missed the opening game of the three-match series, which Sri Lanka lost by 90 runs, due to a suspension picked up for dissent against Australia last month.

And a hairline fracture to his left hand, sustained in training on Sunday, means he is unable to feature in the final two matches on Tuesday and Saturday, while he is also a doubt for the two Twenty20 internationals on April 4 and 6.

Off-spinner Dilruwan Perera has been called up in his place, while seamers Nuwan Kulasekara and Nuwan Pradeep have also been added to the squad as cover for Suranga Lakmal, who picked up an unspecified injury in last Saturday's loss.
