Just two weeks on from winning his first World Series of Darts title, Dimitri van den Bergh has secured a double by also clinching the Dutch Darts Masters on Saturday evening. The 27-year-old Belgian faced home favourite Dirk van Duijvenbode in the finale at the Ziggo Dome, and put on a relentless display to leave the Amsterdam crowd in shock. After storming into a 4-0 lead, Van den Bergh continued to pile on the pressure, and wrapped up his second title of the year with a dominant 8-2 victory.

He was simply untouchable all night, with the Belgian averaging 99 during his 6-1 win in the quarter-finals against Jermaine Wattimena. Following that, the 'DreamMaker' then put UK Open champion Danny Noppert to the sword, beating him 7-2 in the semi-finals to set up a clash with Van Duijvenbode in the final.

With momentum on his side, he looked unstoppable in the opening legs as he dominated and took a 4-0 lead, only for his Dutch opponent to respond in leg five.

But it hardly knocked Van den Bergh's focus, and he quickly answered back by winning the following two legs to go 6-1 up, with a 14-dart finish en route.

Van Duijvenbode was forced to fight hard for the eighth leg, with Van den Bergh landing two 180s only for the scoreline to end up at 6-2.

But it seemed to spur on the Belgian once more, with Van den Bergh sealing the title with consecutive 13 and 14-dart finishes to win 8-2.

Van den Bergh dropped just seven legs across both days of the tournament, and was ecstatic with his dominant performances all weekend. "It's incredible - I'm very proud," said Van den Bergh. "To only lose seven legs in the event is amazing. "It's incredible and it's not expected. I don't know if I've broken records but I've got the trophy and that's what I came here for. "I think I've done a great job in Copenhagen and here and I'm grateful to be invited to play in these World Series events. "This is the top players in the world and I've won two out of two, so I want to take this into the World Matchplay next month now. "I'm so happy because I keep achieving my dreams. I want to keep continuing this because it's an incredible feeling. I want to achieve more."
