The Dodgers came close to unseating the Cubs before they had a chance to make history last season.
This year, Los Angeles will return most of its roster from last year's NLCS run. Clayton Kershaw is the main attraction, striking batters out at an alarming rate. He was so good last season that many believed he should have won the NL Cy Young despite missing over two months with an injury.
The lineup has some intriguing pieces, mainly in the infield. Justin Turner and Corey Seager proved they can be stars, while Adrian Gonzalez continues to lead the way. The outfield is a mess, however, and it's time the Dodgers dumped Yasiel Puig and all his baggage.
Kenley Jansen is arguably the best closer in baseball, routinely notching over 35 saves with a below 2.80 ERA. The bullpen and rotation look solid for Los Angeles this season, which is key considering runs could sometimes be hard to find.

Dodgers fantasy baseball sleeper
Kenta Maeda, SP — After a solid first season in MLB, Maeda added more muscle during the offseason in an attempt to pitch over 200 innings this season. Maeda wore down during the second half of last season, so more stamina could put him in the SP2 conversation. He is a great middle-round value in standard fantasy leagues.
Dodgers top prospect(s)
Cody Bellinger, 1B — The Dodgers reportedly toyed with sending Bellinger to Detroit for Ian Kinsler, but ultimately found the price too steep. Bellinger is a power threat with an MLB swing. He is waiting in the wings for Gonzalez to move onto the American League where he can DH.
