Clubs across London and major European nations have completed their transfer business this summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were particularly active in their respective ways, while rumours were in full swing beyond done deals in the Premier League right up until the 11pm deadline on Friday night. Now, for any transfer obsessives on our patch, there is a four-month wait for the market to reopen.

That will not stop managers, players and pundits from being pressed on what their club might or might not need, but they ultimately can't do anything about it until winter. Here, football.london takes a closer look at the January transfer window, including key dates that have already been inked in by the Premier League;

When does the January transfer window open?

It's an easy date to remember this season. As per the Premier League website, clubs will be able to do business once again from New Year's Day (Wednesday, January 1).

When does the January transfer window close?

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will have over a month to get their mid-season plans in order. The window will close at 11pm on Monday, February 3, bringing an end to deals for 2024/2025.

Similarly to this summer, the date was set in harmony with France, Germany, Italy and Spain, plus other leagues across the continent. However, once again like this summer, there will be additional scope for player sales to be sanctioned beyond February 3 - so long as the buying team are from an active market.

What transfer markets are still open this summer?

Clubs in Portugal, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands can still make signings until Monday. Over in Turkey, there is another fortnight to go in the summer transfer window - offering Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham a possible exit route for their players who were unable to secure moves by Friday night.
