Heidi arrived at Arundawn at risk of being put to sleep. The rescue has taken her in to save her, but is 'beyond full' and is determined to find her the perfect home. Arundawn believes she is a Kelpie crossbreed or a Podenco crossbreed, due to her 'unusual' looks. She is good with other dogs and is very affectionate with humans. She has not been fully tested around children, cats or small animals. (Photo: Arundawn)

Hugo, 8, and Flo, 5, are a bonded pair of Spaniels - Hugo has been described by Arundawn as 'the perfect gentleman', while Flo is a 'sweet and loving companion'. They are hoping to be rehomed together and will make an amazing addition to any family. They ideally would like a home in a rural location as this is what they have been used to for their whole lives. They are a little nervous but are coming around very quickly in foster. Blue is looking for a quiet foster home, ideally with another dog to keep her company. She has spent much of her life kennelled in a very rural location so is not used to heavy traffic and busy households. She is a lovely and affectionate dog who will just need a little help adjusting to her new life. She can be homed with children over the age of 10. She has not been tested around cats. This group of Cockapoos were sadly all dumped. One has been adopted by the person who took them in, while Rupert and Ronnie are still seeking their forever homes, or a foster home in the meantime. The rescue is looking for separate homes for the dogs as they rely 'feed from each other' which makes it 'impossible to work with them'. Arundawn added that they will be hard work until they learn to trust, due to their backgrounds, but they will soon be 'incredibly rewarding in the right home'. (Photo: Arundawn)

Two puppies from a litter born at Arundawn are still available for adoption. The puppies were born five days after their mum, Peggy, was handed in to Arundawn. These typical puppies are excitable and playful and will need plenty of training and socialisation as they grow. They will also require lots of exercise. Their breed - Bull Lurcher crossbreed - means they will be highly intelligent, as well as loyal and well-behaved in the right home. (Photo: Arundawn)

Tasha's foster carer has described her as 'an amazing little dog'. She enjoys gentle walks and is well-behaved around other dogs. She is child-friendly so would do well in a family environment, and is not food or toy possessive. She does have separation anxiety though and will need someone around most of the time until she settles. Despite being fine around dogs, she can also be indifferent to them so would be happy as the only pup at home. (Photo: Arundawn)

Honey is believed to have been an unwanted pet who was dumped at about a year old. She is now in foster and is looking for a forever home with no cats or small animals. She currently cannot live with children under 15 as she is bouncy and unaware of personal space. Honey is fine with other dogs but has not lived with one before - the rescue suggests either a dog-free home or for a home with a calm, male dog. (Photo: Arundawn)

Nessa is a lovely, young and friendly dog who needs a loving home. She will need another resident dog for company in her new home, as she would howl when alone in her kennel. Her coat is currently in poor condition but this will change once she's put on a good diet and is living in a happy home. (Photo: Arundawn)

Luna is one of four dogs who were sadly dumped in a field. She had never worn a lead before arriving at the charity and was 'terrified of her own shadow'. However, with some time in foster she has gained confidence and the charity said she has 'proven to be a bit of a minx!' She is looking for a family with time and patience to train and exercise her. She cannot live with cats or small animals, but will benefit from the company of another tolerant dog as she can push boundaries. Luna also loves to play and 'adores' children. The charity said:

Alfie has been described by Arundawn as a 'super little dog'. His owner sadly has advanced dementia and his needs have been very badly neglected. He had some ear and skin problems which are now being treated. Alfie is cat-friendly and dog-friendly, and is proving to be a delight in foster, the charity said. Gizmo and Cailou are two little old ladies are looking for a home to live out their 'twilight years'. Arundawn said their adopters must 'prepare to be snuggled' as the pair are very affectionate and will find a lap to sit in wherever they go. Both girls are a bit stiff but are very happy pottering around the garden and really enjoy short walks to say hello to everyone. They were very overweight when they arrived at Arundawn so are on the correct diets for their breed and age. They are looking for a family that will keep them on their healthy routine which is doing them so much good. (Photo: Arundawn)

Rubble is a big boy but has proven to be a very steady and endearing character, Arundawn has said. He can live with children, cats and dogs and is also good around horses. He is calm around people and can be a bit inquisitive. Arundawn said his only 'fault' is that he needs someone around most of the time as he gets distressed when left on his own for too long. He must be rehomed with at least one other dog as he gets a lot of confidence and reassurance from having a friend. (Photo: Arundawn)

Bilbo was relinquished by his owner and had lots of pent up energy and frustration on arrival at Arundawn. The charity has been working on this and he is becoming an 'amazing' dog. One of the charity's volunteers has been working with him, taking him out, walking locally and spending time learning about his needs. He is still only young but is strong and needs further lead training. He loves his toys and really responds well to positive reinforcement, training and clear boundaries - he has loads of potential and is thriving in a structured and organised environment. Arundawn has recommended that anyone interested in Bilbo visits him at the kennels a few times to get to know him and to introduce any resident dogs. He cannot live with children, cats or small animals. (Photo: Arundawn)

Frida is a young, deaf, American Bulldog who was sadly 'dumped' and is now residing in a council pound facility. Arundawn is looking for a foster carer who can take Frida in.She is responding well to hand signals and needs a carer with the skills, time and patience she needs - ideally someone with experience of caring for a deaf dog. She would also best suit a home with another, hearing, dog to offer her company and guidance. She is not assessed with children so cannot live with anyone aged under 16. (Photo: Arundawn)

Felix is 'an absolute sweetheart' who is looking for his forever home. He will need an active home with at least one other dog. His foster carer said there will be a settling in period 'where he comes to terms with his environment' but the result will be 'well worth it'. He is a big loveable lump who walks well on the lead but you will also need to be able to control him if a squirrel or cat is seen! Ideally he would be suited to an active household (as he loves long walks) where someone is about most of the time.

Arundawn has said 'Monty is one of those dogs that come into rescue and just breaks our hearts'. The Rottweiler cross Dobermann had not been walked in two years, had become overweight and was terrified of the outdoors. However, after spending time in his foster home he has become 'a complete cuddlebug' and, despite his size, believes he can fit in your lap. He loves playing fetch and has lost all the excess weight he had when he first arrived so is looking very sleek and healthy. Monty is walked with a muzzle as he is still reactive to other dogs so cannot be rehomed with any other pets, and will need to be adopted by someone who is capable of walking him due to his strength on the lead. He is also still quite anxious when going outside so this will need to be worked on, and also means he would like to find a home in a very quiet and rural location. He can live with children older than 12. (Photo: Arundawn)

Arundawn is looking for foster carers (with a view to adopt) for this pair. They are currently in pound kennels and need a home environment to stay in while searching for their forever homes. The rescue has said it doesn't 'know much about them other than that they are said to be delightful and lots of fun'. They are a little unsure of sudden movementss and have not been cat or child tested. Arundawn would like to keep the dogs together if possible.
