Douglas Luiz's 'confirmed' Juventus stance will be music to Monchi's ears
Douglas Luiz is unhappy at Juventus and would like to leave the Serie A club just six months after completing a €50 million transfer from Aston Villa.
That’s according to reports in Italy who go further and claim the Brazil international even spoke of his discontent to Villa’s players and directors on Wednesday, when his current and his former club drew 0-0 in the Champions League.
Luiz did not feature at Villa Park and has played only nine times this season including only two league starts. He is currently out injured but that has not stopped speculation about his future.
According to Football Italia, who cite La Gazzetta dello Sport. Luiz was a visitor at Villa Park in midweek and they say he is looking for an escape route during the January transfer window.

They say Gazzetta reported earlier this week Juve director Giuntoli had used the trip to England to offer Luiz and Nicolò Fagioli to Manchester City and United.
AreaNapoli also refer to the article and quote La Gazzetta dello Sport as saying Luiz ’would like to return to being a protagonist like in England. So much so that his agent, Kia Joorabchian, is already reported to be in action between Spain and England to find a way out and put a smile back on his client's face. However, it is certainly not a simple divorce on an economic level. Juventus paid 50 million for him (28 plus Samuel Iling Junior and Enzo Barrenechea) and does not seem to be willing to loan him out’.
Luiz’s former Villa team-mate Pau Torres confirmed Luiz is experiencing ‘a difficult moment’ in the build up to the game, while Monchi opened the door for a return to Villa Park when he told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “I would always take Douglas back, from any club: he is very strong.”
