Former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba has paid tribute to Blues captain John Terry following the news of his impending departure, as per the Mirror and via a post on Instagram.
On Sunday, Chelsea and Terry put out a joint statement to announce that this season would be his last as a player with the Stamford Bridge side, having worn their shirt for 22 years.
Since the announcement, tributes have been coming in from all over, including this touching one on Instagram from Drogba, who admitted in his post that he had no idea who the defender was when he first joined Chelsea.

"Thought you were a young player from the academy going on pre season tour. Then I realized who you were from your first speech right before our first friendly game vs @celticfc .
