The woman who was removed from Centre Court after Nick Kyrgios accused her of having “had about 700 drinks” during the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic has apologised to the Australian.
Kyrgios lost his cool during the third set of his four-set defeat against Djokovic as he accused the spectator of unsettling him during serves and asked that she be removed.
“She is distracting me when I’m serving in a Wimbledon final. There’s not a bigger occasion,” he yelled at the chair umpire.
“You didn’t believe me. And she did it again. It nearly cost me the game. Why is she still here? She’s drunk out of her mind in the first row, speaking to me in the middle of a game. What’s acceptable? Nothing is acceptable? So kick her out!
“I know exactly which one it is. It’s the one who looks like she’s had about 700 drinks, bro.”

However, Ania Palus from Poland explained The Sun that she wasn’t “drunk out of her mind” as she only had two drinks.
“He always says the crowd is against him and I wanted to show we were for him, I wanted to encourage him,” she said.
“I only had one Pimm’s and one rosé. It’s the temperature for me, I had no hat. I’m really sorry.”
She told The Telegraph that she “only had good intentions”.
“I understand what it is like to be an underdog so I wanted to give him support,” she said. “Maybe I took it too far so for that I am sorry but I only had good intentions.”
She added: If you think one person saying ‘Come on, you can do it’ is so disturbing that he loses a game… how can he pick up a single fan who is clapping, rooting for him?”
