Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's daughter Simone has followed her dad's footsteps into WWE, performing as Ava Raine on NXT.

Simone, who is WWE's first fourth-generation Superstar, has been signed with WWE since February 2020, with her dad even visiting the Performance Center to see her train and offer some advice to her class.

"I have the privilege and honor of watching my daughter Simone," Johnson said. "I had her when I was young in my 20s and you know, as dudes, we're still trying to find ourselves in our 20s, in our 30s. If we're lucky, we reach our fourth level and we find ourselves a little bit. We get a little bit more wise.

"When I had Simone, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I was wrestling full-time, I started transitioning into movies full-time. I had so much shit going on so I like to say me and Simone grew up together. So we had a relationship where I was always gone but we tried to keep it together.

"Now, years later, as she becomes a pro wrestler, it's actually brought us closer together. So in a way, it's helped save that relationship too. In many ways, pro wrestling has been my family's saviour."

Simone made her in-ring debut for NXT in March, after joining The Schism faction last October.

Previously Simone spoke about her dad's visit to the Performance Center, saying it was great to be able to train with him.

"It was great because he got to see everyone there," Simone said. "He got to see how our culture is here, and then obviously I love spending time with him but to be able to train with him and do something I know we both love, it was great."
