Dylan Watret Ayr United form sees Arsenal and Nottingham Forest lead scouting transfer rabble
Arsenal and Nottingham Forest were among clubs in England's Premier League who sent scouts to watch Ayr United's Dylan Watret in action last weekend.
The full-back played the 90 minutes at Somerset Park as the Honest Men roared back from two goals down to knock Raith Rovers out of the SPFL Trust Trophy in front of their own supporters. Watret is just 17-years-old and is one Ayr feel has significant potential. Football Scotland understands several clubs down south believe the same and sent staff north to watch him.
It is understood the Gunners led the rabble of scouts in attendance while Forest are also keen to take a closer look at the youngster. Manager Scott Brown has handed the teen seven appearances this season already and is a big fan of the player.

The kid made his debut for the club back in December 2022 at 16 in a win over Raith and signed a contract extension shortly after that outing as he became the latest from the academy production line to make an impact.
He scored his first goal for the club earlier this season in a 1-1 draw with Dunfermline Athletic as Ayr continued their strong start to the campaign with four wins from five games and a five point head start over third placed Livingston from their early matches. Only Falkirk have started in kind with four wins from four and sitting in second just one point off Brown's club.
It's understood a number of Scottish Premiership clubs are also monitoring Watret's development but the likelihood is they'd be priced out of a move for the player should any of the Premier League sides from down south opt to make their interest official. Watret featured in Ayr's pre-season clash with Celtic.
