EA Sports has begun releasing player ratings ahead of the release of their newest soccer video game EA Sports FC 25, which launches on Sept. 27.

On Monday, EAFC officially released the top 25 rated players in the new game with Kylian Mbappe, Rodri, and Erling Haaland now classed as the best players in world soccer. The talented trio have all been given a base rating of 91 out of a possible 99, and they are closely followed by Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne, Vinicius Jr, and Jude Bellingham (all 90).

Three Liverpool players have made the top 25, confirming that EAFC deems Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge of Liverpool as a success. Alisson, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk have all retained their 89 rating from EAFC 24, and have been ranked higher than some elite stars.

Lionel Messi, Ruben Dias, Ederson, and Jan Oblak (all rated 88) are some of the players within the top 25 who have been handed a lower rating than the Liverpool trio. Each year EAFC, formerly known as the FIFA franchise, rates players based on the previous season meaning that it could be a strong year for Liverpool in the game.

The full roster ratings are yet to be released, but it could be a big year for some rising Liverpool stars. Following performances last season there could be major upgrades to Alexis Mac Allister, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Jarell Quansah.

It's an exciting time at Liverpool despite the emotional departure of Klopp who left his role after nine seasons as head coach. However, new coach Arne Slot has won his first three Liverpool games without conceding a goal and is imposing a new philosophy on the team.

One player whose been given a major vote of confidence is Diogo Jota, who so far has been highlighted as the starting No. 9 under Slot. Jota is also a popular player used in the EAFC game due to his agility and versatility, and the Liverpool forward is a keen gamer himself.

Jota plays the EAFC games religiously and is considered a professional after going unbeaten in several competitive tournaments. Jota has claimed that there aren't many gamers at Liverpool other than himself. "Every time we travel for away matches, I take the PlayStation with me," Jota said to TheGamer. "It makes time go smoothly and keeps me entertained.

"I don't think we have a lot of gamers in the squad – at least for FIFA (EAFC). I know one or two that play Call of Duty and those kinds of games. I know Trent [Alexander-Arnold] is able to play but he never wanted the rematch from the ePremier League Invitational final a couple of years ago when I was at Wolves."

Jota has admitted to playing lots of EAFC before Premier League games, as it helps take his mind off things. "I find it helpful to be honest because if I'm just lying on the bed or something, I'm thinking about the game and I don't like to think too much," Jota added.
