EastEnders star Bobby Brazier teases huge new story for Freddie Slater

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has hinted that "history" will be made for his character Freddie Slater in a new storyline.

Brazier joined the BBC One soap last year, with his character Freddie already involved in an issue-based storyline where he was assessed for ADHD on the advice of a former teacher.

"I'm going to say for me, EastEnders history is about to go down," the actor teased in a recent conversation with Inside Soap.

"Freddie goes through a very revealing, deep, I guess in a way, experience. I think that the fans that have been watching for years, as many of them longer than I've been alive, are gonna really love that."

"And they're gonna feel a lot of things," he continued, miming a rollercoaster. "They're gonna feel everything Freddie feels and they are gonna scream at the TV, saying, 'What are you doing?!'"

There's no telling yet what the new storyline will entail, but it has been revealed that Freddie will get caught up in Elaine Peacock's attempts to set up her future stepdaughter Gina Knight on a date.

In a case of mistaken identity, Elaine wrongly suspects Gina has romantic feelings for Freddie when she's actually developed a crush on Zack Hudson.

Freddie also proved to be pivotal to the show's OnlyFans storyline when he gave relative Stacey Slater the idea to post adult photos on the site in order to make some quick cash.

As if Freddie's year in Walford hasn't been eventful enough, fans have loved his double act with Alfie Moon as they tried to help the Slaters out of their financial trouble.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
