EastEnders stars warn of tearful scenes at Lola's funeral

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has revealed that Lola Pearce-Brown's upcoming funeral scenes will be emotional, but will give the character the "send-off she deserves".

Speaking to Radio Times at the 2023 British Soap Awards, Borthwick and Danielle Harold, who play Jay Brown and Lola, discussed the recent tragic storyline — with Borthwick explaining there's still more heart-breaking scenes to come.

"Isabella Brown's [Lexi Pearce] great in that. More tears, sadly. But she gets the send-off she deserves," he shared.

Harold added that she was ready to see her character's funeral scenes air on TV. "I wanted to go, just to be there with my little Izzie [Isabella Brown, who plays Lexi], but I couldn't, so I can't wait to see it," she said.
