EastEnders' Suki Panesar plots a surprise exit

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Suki Panesar plots her exit from Walford when an opportunity arises to send husband Nish to prison.

Suki has been having an affair with Eve Unwin and the pair have considered getting Nish out of the picture for good so that they can finally be together.

In upcoming scenes, things are tense between the Panesars when Nish lays into son Vinny for messing up a deal. With Nish distracted by business, Suki makes the most of the opportunity and invites Eve over.

However, the couple receive a shock when Nish arrives home unexpectedly, and Eve is forced to hide in the cupboard below the stairs to avoid being caught.

From her hiding spot, Eve overhears Nish arranging his latest dodgy deal and gets an idea. She later fills Suki in on her discovery and suggests that this is the opportunity they've been waiting for to finally get rid of Nish.

Later, Suki and Eve's plan gets under way to uncover all the details of Nish's dodgy deal so that they can report him to the police and leave to start a new life together.

Although Suki is excited for the future, she struggles with her emotions and the thought of leaving Vinny behind in Walford.

Suki is nervous as Nish departs for his meetup, and as soon as he leaves, she reports him to the police. She packs a case and shares an emotional chat with Vinny, who remains oblivious to the fact that Suki is actually saying goodbye.

However, things take a shocking turn when Nish arrives home from the deal and accuses Vinny of reporting him to the police. Suki is horrified that her plan failed, but will she really let Vinny take the blame?

EastEnders stars Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace, who play Suki and Eve respectively, recently won a Rainbow Honour for their characters' storyline.

The Rainbow Honours showcase individuals and organisations who work all year to influence change and proudly promote LGBTQIA equality.

The Suki and Eve storyline was awarded Media Moment of the Year at the ceremony.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
