ECU's Crusoe named GAC Player of the Week

Mar. 6—RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Mackenzie Crusoe of the East Central University women's basketball team earned the final Great American Conference Player of the Week honor as announced by the league on Monday. The Choctaw, Oklahoma, native led the Tigers to back-to-back victories to cap off the 2023-24 season.

Throughout the week, Crusoe tallied an impressive 55 points, boasting an average of 27.5 points per game while shooting 48.7% from the field. These stellar performances came in wins over Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Baptist University.

In a thrilling showdown against the Bulldogs on Thursday, Crusoe not only secured the 53-51 road victory with a game-winning floater but also broke the ECU single-season steals record with four steals, bringing her total to 70.

Two days later, Crusoe led the charge in the Tigers' 64-57 triumph over the Bison for a memorable Senior Day celebration to conclude the season. Her standout performance saw her leading all players with 27 point
