Home to one of the giant sets of Olympic Rings there will be no missing out on any of the atmosphere created in Edinburgh by the Games when they commence on July 27.

The Olympic Torch passed through Edinburgh in mid June and created plenty of excitement as the city gets set to cheer on its very own Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy.

The Edinburgh Live Site is situated in Festival Square in the city centre and its big screen has shown plenty of action in the lead-up to the Games, including both cultural and sporting events such as Wimbledon.

News, interactive events and live coverage have kept the residents of Edinburgh informed as preparations for the Games have taken shape, and it promises to deliver an unforgettable summer of Olympic action.

Find the Edinburgh Live Site on a map here.

How to get there? Haymarket train station is just half-a-mile from Festival Square and Waverley station is a mile. Bus is the best method of getting around Edinburgh and there is a stop on Princes Street which serves Festival Square.
