Edinburgh's Heineken Cup quarter-final with Toulouse is set to be the biggest game in Scottish club rugby history, the capital side have announced.

More than 20,000 tickets have been sold for the April 7 encounter with the four-time European champions as Edinburgh bid to advance to the last four of the competition.

The previous record for a Scottish club fixture was 17,174 - for Edinburgh's 2003 Celtic Cup final against Ulster.

Edinburgh chief executive Craig Docherty said: "The rush for tickets in this past week has been extraordinary.

"This is now undeniably the biggest club rugby match in Scottish history and we need to pull on every available resource, none more so than the power of the crowd, as we take on Toulouse for a place in the semi-finals."

Meanwhile, head coach Michael Bradley has made four changes to the starting line-up for Friday's RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Ulster in Belfast.

Wing Sep Visser - younger brother of prolific Tim, who is named on the other wing - fly-half Phil Godman and centre John Houston come in for Chris Paterson, Gregor Hunter and the injured Jim Thompson (ankle) respectively.

The introduction of Visser and Houston means Tom Brown reverts to full-back and Matt Scott to outside centre, while prop Ulises Gamboa is set to make his first start in the only change among the forwards, replacing Jack Gilding.
