Efe Ambrose' Hibernian gain promotion to Scottish Premier League

The 28-year-old defender was on song as the Hibs brushed aside the Honest Men on Tuesday

Nigeria international Efe Ambrose helped Hibernian clinched the Scottish Championship title after defeating Queens of the South 3-0 at the Easter Road Stadium.

It was the Nigerian's eighth appearance for the Hibs since joining on loan from Celtic in January.

With the closest contender, Falkirk held to a 2-2 draw by Saint Mirren, Hibernian are safe to be called champions after opening an 11 points advantage atop with three games left to play.

The 28-year-old, who bagged Player of the Month for March was in top form as Darren McGregor's brace plus David Gray's strike ended Neil Lennon's side winless run in four games in a row.

Hibernian will face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup before taking on Raith Rovers and Ayr United and Saint Mirren in their final three remaining league games.
