George Michael is pleased with El Kanemi Warriors' position in the Nigeria Professional Football League table, but insists that they will not relent until they achieve the season's target.

The Maiduguri side are third on the log with 33 points from 19 league games, and the skipper says his side will continue to work hard to ensure they better their feat in the first stanza of the campaign.

"We have enjoyed a very good first half of the season, finishing among the top three teams on the log," Michael told Goal.

"Although we are not really where we wanted to be, we will continue to work hard to ensure we reach our target, but the most important thing is the fact that we still have room for improvement in the second half of the season.

"With the new additions to the team, I'm sure we will achieve our aim at the end of the season.," he concluded.
