Emma Raducanu has pulled out of her next tournament.

The US Open champion has withdrawn from the Kremlin Cup, due to begin in Moscow on Monday 18 October.

The 18-year-old was beaten in her first match since her stunning maiden Grand Slam triumph in New York.

Raducanu lost in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells in a straight sets defeat to Aliaksandra Sasnovich.

She has now opted to take a week off as she continues to refine her end-of-season schedule, with no reason has been given for her withdrawal.

The next tournament Raducanu is due to enter is the Transylvania Open in Romania, which is scheduled for the week beginning October 25.

Raducanu confirmed this week that she is due to play at an exhibition event in the United Arab Emirates in December as part of her preparations for a debut at the Australian Open.
