Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk is set to pay a secret hospital visit in her continuing baby plot.
Rhona is involved in a dramatic storyline after learning that her ex husband Gus has stolen her frozen embryos and his wife Lucy is expecting a baby. Upon confronting him at home with Lucy, Rhona finds herself entangled with the birth as the new mum's waters break and Rhona has to be the one to drive Lucy to hospital.
Later in the week, following the arrival of Gus' baby, Rhona will sneak off to the hospital to try to see the newborn, who is in the intensive care unit.
She attempts to find out more information from a nurse but is alarmed that Gus is there too and will uncover her involvement.
How will Gus react to Rhona's obvious desire to be involved in the baby's life?
Back home, Rhona believes that her stepdaughter April should know about the baby but Marlon is not sure how she will react.
Meanwhile, when Rhona witnesses Dawn having pregnancy pains she rushes to get doctor Liam. Will all of the baby news in the village cause Rhona to take action to be a part of her baby's life?
"To be fair, after what they went through with Marlon's stroke I think they're pretty invincible, but you can never say never in soapland," she said.
"This is something that would test any relationship I think, particularly as Rhona is tenacious and not somebody to roll over and give in. Ultimately Marlon's role is to protect her and make sure everything is okay. They just need to make sure they're on the same page, but I'm not sure they are at the moment...".
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
