Emre Can claims Liverpool are ready for a 'big fight' ahead of the 228th Merseyside derby. Everton have closed the gap on the top four over recent weeks, leaving themselves with an outside chance of a Champions League spot.
Everton find themselves in 7th, but are only six points behind rivals Liverpool. A defeat for Klopp's side would leave Liverpool's own Champions League aspirations hanging in the balance.

As reported in the Liverpool Echo, the German midfielder stated, “It’s another big, big game, and of course we want to win.
“It’s a special game for Liverpool, for the supporters, for us, and it will be a big, big fight. Everton have done well in the last few games but we have done good as well. It will be an interesting game.”
Got to be Emre Can's best performance for #LFC. Thought he was immense today.— James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) March 19, 2017
Reflecting on the draw with Manchester City, Can added, “It was an open game and both sides had big chances, so I think nobody can complain about 1-1.
“Man City had chances at the end but we had a big chance as well so I think 1-1 was okay. Every game is always intense but today maybe it was a little bit more intense because Man City are a team who want to play and they did it very well.
Emre Can has been magnificent, drove the team forward all day today. That's what we need to see more, using his power to dominate opponents.— DaveOCKOP (@DaveOCKOP) March 19, 2017
“If you play in front of the back four then you have to run a lot. I tried to help my team. It was an intense game.”
Liverpool managed to win a hard-fought point at the Etihad thanks to a James Milner penalty. Emre Can lavished praise on his hard working teammate: “I have never seen a player like Millie who scores penalties.
“He’s incredible in training sessions - every ball is hard in the corner, he shoots penalties very well.
“In the game he played very well, and it wasn’t an easy game for him against Raheem (Sterling). He’s quick and very difficult to play against. I’m very happy that he scored again.”
