The inclement weather has played a big role in the Test series so far. This is summertime in England, however, rain has been constant during the Test matches. ever since the World Test Championship final, rain has been interrupting the progress of the game and have been decisive on many occasions.
Rain played a huge role in denying India a chance to win the first Test at Trent Bridge after it rained the whole day on day five. The umpires were forced to call off play as the first Test ended in a stalemate. However, the weather for the third Test in Headingley is a far better one.
The temperature during the day is expected to be around 20 degrees with no rain predicted. The cloud cover too is expected to be les than 60 percent which means the light will be fair enough for a good day’s play.
The temperature will get better as the day progresses and the afternoon takes over. The temperature will be 20 degrees with the sky mostly sunny during this time of the day. This also means that the conditions will be the best for batting during this phase of the day’s play.
As the evening draws closer temperatures will drop down to 16 degrees with the coldness taking effect. The conditions will also get dewy with a cloud cover of 76 percent and a slight chance of drizzle or a passing shower. However, India and England cricket fans would hope that it stays away.
