Team India have registered a convincing win over England in the fourth Test at Oval. Following that, fans, as well as cricketers too, were seen celebrating the victory. While many were happy with that, the celebration of Virat Kohli made headlines as it didn’t go down well with many.

However, Virat Kohli is known for his animated celebration for a long time. And, this time, after beating England, he was seen celebrating in an animated way also.

England’s Daily Mail cricket journalist Lawrence Booth sarcastically tweeted: “Love this. His teammates are celebrating a wicket, but Kohli finds the time to taunt the England fans. Doesn’t miss a trick!”

He soon shared: “To clear up any confusion, I don’t really love this. I find it weird when a top-class sportsman isn’t content with winning a game, having totally outplayed the opposition, but wants to stick it to the fans too.”

Meanwhile, former England opener Nick Compton added: “It doesn’t look good for him! No need.”

“Virat Kohli is an incredible leader” – Michael Vaughan

On the other hand, former England captain Michael Vaughan told Fox Sports’ The Back Page that the game needs more players like Kohli.

“Virat Kohli is an incredible leader. He’s just got this buzz of energy. He was taking the piss out of the Barmy Army we these trumpet signs,” Vaughan said.

He continued: “I love it. We don’t have enough characters in the game and mimicking the crowd, trying to get his own supporters going. When they came out after lunch he was getting them going. It was like he was at the end of the long jump in the Olympics trying to get the crowd going. He’s an amazing character and yesterday he gave a tactical masterclass on how to win a Test match.”

However, Virat Kohli reacted in the second session of the final day, after Jasprit Bumrah claimed his 100th Test wicket after dismissing Ollie Pope. And, the hosts eventually bowled out within 157 runs after being 0-100 earlier in the day at the Oval in London.

Meanwhile, Barmy Army too has tweeted on that.
