Euro 2020 news - LIVE!

There are now just three days to go before the start of the European Championship - with excitement building in England and across the continent, as shown by the reaction to Phil Foden channeling Euro 96 hero Paul Gascoigne with his new bleached hairstyle.

Gareth Southgate added Brighton centre-back Ben White to his final tournament squad on Monday as a replacement for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, while he insists that the Three Lions must be stronger defensively in their Group D opener against Croatia at Wembley on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Germany laid down a daunting marker for the tournament by hitting seven goals past Latvia in their final warm-up friendly in Dusseldorf.

Chelsea’s Champions League hero Kai Havertz enjoyed another starring role, with the likes of Timo Werner and Ilkay Gundogan also on the scoresheet for the Euro contenders.

Kevin De Bruyne has also joined the Belgium camp following his facial fractures sustained playing for Manchester City in Porto, though Roberto Martinez says he is still not counting on the reigning PFA Player of the Year for the Red Devils’ first Group B match against Russia in Saint Petersburg on Saturday.

The Netherlands have ruled out Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek through injury, while Arkadiusz Milik has pulled out of the Poland squad with a knee issue.
