England kit: Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Harry Kane unveil new home and away Nike shirts

England have launched their kits for the new season ahead of this month’s Uefa Nations League meetings with Iceland and Denmark.

The new home shirt features the traditional white base with the Three Lions crest in a central position on the chest, accompanied by dark blue shorts and white socks.

The away strip is a ‘vibrant blue’ with a buttoned-down collar, which manufacturer Nike says takes inspiration from kits of the 1990s.

Both strips feature a bespoke graphic print depicting a ‘community of lions’, emphasising the feeling of togetherness built between fans and Gareth Southgate’s young squad.

“This team is closer than it’s ever been before, when we put on that England jersey all club rivalries are set aside,” says captain Harry Kane. “We’re united in our goal of representing our fans far and wide. This collection captures that feeling of togetherness we hold so dearly.”

Following the postponement of the summer’s European Championships, Southgate’s squad met up for the first time since November yesterday.

Having got to the finals of the inaugural Nations League in 2019, England begin their second campaign in Reykjavik on Saturday before playing Denmark in Copenhagen on September 8.

On Monday, Southgate handed Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish his first senior call-up after Marcus Rashford and Harry Winks pulled out of the squad, while Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Wolves’ Conor Coady were also late additions over the weekend following Harry Maguire’s deselection.
