England are into the final of Euro 2020 after a commanding 4-0 win over Sweden at Bramall Lane.

Sweden started the semi-final the better of the two teams and they could have scored three times in the opening 10 minutes, but goalkeeper Mary Earps and the woodwork denied them.

England made them pay for that and Beth Mead opened the scoring before the break after controlling and finishing Lucy Bronze’s cross.

Bronze then doubled the lead after the break by heading home Mead’s corner and the game was wrapped up in the 68th minute when Alessia Russo scored.

Fran Kirby added a fourth late on and now England will face either France or Germany in Sunday’s final at Wembley.

Simon Collings was at Bramall Lane to see the Lionesses in action...

Mary Earps 9

Made two huge saves early on and that set the tone for an incredible performance from the goalkeeper. Her save in the second-half to deny Stina Blackstenius was incredible too.

Lucy Bronze 9

Has suffered semi-final hurt before, but made sure she didn’t with a brilliant display. Setup the opening goal with a fizzed cross and scored the second with a header.

Millie Bright 7

A solid display from the Chelsea defender, who has had an excellent tournament so far. Dealt well with Sweden’s aerial threat from set-pieces and helped England weather the early storm.

Leah Williamson 8

It hasn’t been often at this tournament that she has outshone Bright, but she did tonight. Made a few vital blocks and clearances, and played out from defence well too.

Rachel Daly 7

She will be the first to admit she had a torrid time against Spain in the quarter-final. Bounced back well here, though, and didn’t put a foot wrong all game.

Keira Walsh 9 | Star player

Looked an absolute class above in midfield and ran the game. She grew up idolising the likes of Spain great David Silva - and it shows. Her composure on the ball makes England tick.

Georgia Stanway 6

Was the hero of the quarter-final, but she had a quiet game tonight as others around her took centre stage instead. Still played a useful role, though, breaking up play.

Beth Mead 9

Yet another brilliant performance from the Arsenal forward, who is having a dream tournament. Took her goal superbly and claimed an assist too. As Ian Wright perfectly put it, she’s a “goalscoring monster”.

Fran Kirby 8

Made an impression early on in the game with a vital tackle to deny Filippa Angeldahl scoring. Grew into the game, created chances and capped her display with a goal.

Lauren Hemp 8

Was bright and lively off her wing, causing Sweden problems all game. She should have scored when Russo picked her out with a cut-back, but that was her only blemish.

Ellen White 5

As always, she worked hard and pressed Sweden’s centre-backs, but didn’t offer much of a threat. Taken off before the hour-mark for Russo, who could get the nod on Sunday.

Another brilliant cameo off the bench from the striker, who scored with an audacious back-heeled finish.
