India’s practice session ahead of the final Test against England was cancelled as another support staff member of the Indian contingent tested COVID-19 positive.

According to a news report by news agency PTI, an official member of BCCI confirmed the latest development of the member testing positive and he remains unidentified as of now.

This will be a major setback for the Indian team after the core member of the coaching unit head by Ravi Shastri have been tested positive and are currently under isolation. Bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel have been quarantined after their respective RT-PCR Tests turned out positive for COVID-19.

India won the fourth Test by 157 runs at The Oval after they bowled out England for 210 and took a commanding lead of 2-1 in the five-match Test series. The Virat Kohli-led side has the best chances to win a Test series in England after a duration of 14 years.
