India’s practice session ahead of the final Test against England was cancelled as another support staff member of the Indian contingent tested COVID-19 positive.
According to a news report by news agency PTI, an official member of BCCI confirmed the latest development of the member testing positive and he remains unidentified as of now.
India vs England fifth Test in danger?
This will be a major setback for the Indian team after the core member of the coaching unit head by Ravi Shastri have been tested positive and are currently under isolation. Bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel have been quarantined after their respective RT-PCR Tests turned out positive for COVID-19.
This news also puts the final Test in danger and it can also be difficult if any of the players is affected by the dreadful virus. The developments of the story are awaited as BCCI is likely to respond on the matter very soon.
