The England and Netherlands squad are bracing themselves for tough conditions in Dortmund this evening as they bid to reach the Euro 2024 final.

Last night, Spain came from a goal down to beat France 2-1 in Munich and they will be watching intently this evening to see who will be their opponent on Sunday in Berlin. The Three Lions have laboured to a place in the last four with Gareth Southgate's team failing to reach the heights that many expected of them.

However, they have yet to taste defeat so far in this tournament unlike the Dutch. They lost 3-2 in the group stages to Austria but have rediscovered their form in the knockouts.

A comfortable 3-0 victory over Romania was followed by a comeback win against Turkey in the quarter-finals to set up this tie. Every factor shall be crucial tonight including the weather forecast which is expected to be challenging for both teams.

According to the Met Office, it is a hot day in Dortmund with a downpour of rain expected between 4pm and 6pm local. Despite this, humidity levels are anticipated to be high reaching 73 per cent with the temperature reaching 23C by kick-off at 9pm.

Throughout the match, humidity could reach as high as 80 per cent which suggests both teams will be looking to conserve energy ahead of a potentially long night. Southgate has been criticised for being conservative with his in-game substitutions during this tournament but the forecast suggests he will need to use the full range of his team this evening to avoid fatigue.
