James Anderson took his 600th wicket as England claimed a first victory over Pakistan in a decade with a 1-0 series win.

England needed eight wickets to win the Test on the fifth and final day but were made to wait until 4.15pm to start due to heavy rain.

Anderson started the day on 599 wickets but quickly made it 600 as he dismissed captain Azhar Ali, who edged it to England's captain Joe Root at slip.

With six further wickets required and just an hour to play, England and Pakistan shook hands to bring an early end to a memorable series.

When England will next play a Test match remains to be seen, but it was a successful summer nonetheless with wins over Pakistan and the West Indies.
