After a dismal start to the series, England responded in fashion on Thursday to take India to a decider on Sunday. Reece Topley shone for England at Lord's, with the 28-year-old taking five wickets as India were limited to just 146. With the series now tied at 1-1, both teams head to Old Trafford for the decider on Sunday, with play expected to start at 11:00 BST. England captain Jos Buttler contributed with three catches on Thursday afternoon, and he was delighted with the character on show from his side.

"I'm delighted with the response from the guys. We didn't bat our best but we still got up to a challenging score and the way we bowled I thought was outstanding. I thought the two guys set the tone and we kept the pressure on throughout. "We're happy to get a win. The team's been doing some great things over a number of years and that brings with it its own pressure and expectation and we want to continue that. "Of course we have pride in our performance and we felt like we hadn't shown our best but fantastic to show the character of the team today."

Buttler singled out Topley for praise, saying: "He's been fantastic. He's been brilliant in the T20s and coming here and bowling like that, six for 24 at Lord's is a special day. On Sunday's decider, Buttler added: "It's always a great place to go and play, and especially with the series at 1-1."
