Enzo Fernandez fires Chelsea four-word message as Enzo Maresca explains 'important' Arsenal call
Enzo Fernandez has rallied the troops ahead of Chelsea's clash against Arsenal. Enzo Maresca will lock horns with Mikel Arteta at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon as both sides look to climb the Premier League table.
The Gunners head into the heavyweight bout off the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat on the road to Inter Milan in the Champions League. As for the Blues, they enjoyed a dominant 8-0 win over Noah in the Conference League, with Fernandez recording a hat-trick of assists.
After the game, the Argentina international marked the victory with a celebratory message on his Instagram story. Captioning the club's official full-time post, Fernandez congratulated his teammates on the result before turning his attention to the weekend.
"Well done boys @chelseafc [blue heart and praying emoji]. All together on Sunday [blue heart, fist bump and wink face emojis]," wrote the 23-year-old midfielder. Fernandez, who was substituted at half-time, will be hoping he's done enough to force himself into Maresca's starting lineup.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the Chelsea boss was asked what pleased him most about his side's performance. He said: "I think the players, once again, showed how professional and serious they are. It's very easy to sleep, or fall down, in these kind of games.
"Football is full of surprise. I said to them before the game to show how serious we are, how professional. I think they showed that and it's an important message for all of us."

On whether he'll start considering Mykhailo Mudryk for Premier League fixtures, Maresca said: "We consider Misha, all of them for every game to take the best XI we think.
"The important thing is Misha continues to improve like tonight. He scored a fantastic goal, he had some good moments. The important thing is he continues to improve."
Then, on how much his players can learn from the Noah demolition, Maresca added: "First of all, if you remember; in the first five minutes we conceded a chance. So you can learn, as I said, if you concede there, the game will change.
"You have to always be focused, you cannot drop. In my opinion, the way to show respect to them is to not underestimate them. That was the message before the game. Don't underestimate nothing because football is full of this kind of surprise. We don't need that."
