Enzo Fernandez sends clear Chelsea message after stunning display vs Leicester City

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has sent a message to supporters after their latest Premier League victory away at Leicester City.

Enzo Maresca's side moved up to third in the standings with a narrow 2-1 triumph against his former club. Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring inside the opening 15 minutes before Fernandez added a second late in the game.

The Foxes pulled a goal back in stoppage time as Jordan Ayew converted a penalty on 95 minutes, but Chelsea were able to hold on to their slender lead for the remaining four minutes. The London club have now won six of their first 12 league games this season, but it was Fernandez who put in a Player of the Match performance on this occasion.

"Thrilled to be back with this away win, this team truly deserves it," he shared in an Instagram post after the game, accompanied by a 'shushing' emoji amid criticism for the midfielder this season. "Huge thanks to all the fans who traveled with us, you made it even more special. Enjoy your weekend, Blues. We’re in this together!"

Saturday's strike was his first goal this season across all competitions as Fernandez made his 16th appearance of the campaign. He does, however, have six assists to his name, including one for Jackson's goal in the victory over Leicester.

Chelsea are in UEFA Europa Conference League action midweek with a visit to Bundesligas side Heidenheim on Thursday evening. Next weekend, they host Aston Villa in the league as they look to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.
