Enzo Maresca repeats Thomas Tuchel feat as Chelsea receive double award
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been named as September's Premier League Manager of the Month.
The Italian saw off competition from Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery, Marco Silva and Arne Slot to claim the award after a very successful September. Chelsea were unbeaten throughout the month, winning three matches and drawing the other.
After drawing 1-1 with Crystal Palace, the Blues beat Bournemouth and West Ham before finishing the month with a 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. Chelsea also scored a competition-high nine goals across the month
Maresca becomes the first Chelsea head coach to win the award since Thomas Tuchel, who claimed it in October 2021. "We had a very good month," Maresca told the Premier League website.
"We all need people around us to make things better. I'm very grateful to have all of them [his staff]. We are always looking at new things and how we can improve from different football and different countries."
It comes after Cole Palmer was voted the Premier League Player of the Month for September. In four appearance's the Chelsea man scored five times and also grabbed himself an assist.

Amazingly, four of his goals came in that crazy 4-2 win over Brighton. He was also on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over West Ham.
Palmer's only assist in September came in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, with the 22-year-old setting up Nicolas Jackson. Palmer and Maresca will now hope they can continue their run of form after the international break, with a trip to Liverpool on the cards before league matches against Newcastle and Manchester United.
