New episodes of The Repair Shop will be on our screens very soon
The Repair Shop has become a faithful Wednesday evening staple, offering us a life-affirming alternative to a throwaway culture, while celebrating indispensable craftsmanship.
And we're so happy it's back on our screens. The Repair Shop will return to BBC One on Wednesday 13 September at 8pm, with episodes also available on BBC iPlayer.
Many of us have cried happy tears as Jay Blades and his talented team of craftspeople like Dom Chinea and Will Kirk painstakingly restore discarded treasures and sentimental heirlooms to their former glory, making their owners cry happy tears too.
The craft show even won an award at the National Television Awards (NTAs) on 4 September, taking home the trophy for Best Daytime TV show.
Presenter Jay Blades took to his Instagram to share a picture of the trophy, with the caption "THOUGHT OF THE DAY. We Won The @officialntas".
He added: "Well done @therepairshoptv Team".
So far, the clever Repair Shop team have repaired everything from Olympic diving medals to beekeeping equipment; ceramic canines to a Victoria Diorama, while unearthing the fascinating stories behind the possessions.
Many fans will be wondering when new episodes will be returning to our screens, and the good news is there's not long to wait.
The Repair Shop shared the good news on Instagram with wood expert Will Kirk announcing the date that the team are set to return to our screens.
He said: "I've got fantastic news! Brand new episodes of The Repair Shop start on 13 September at 8pm on BBC One. If you miss out, you can always catch up on BBC iPlayer."

When is The Repair Shop back on TV?
The new series will air on Wednesdays at 8pm on BBC One from 13 September.
What can we expect from this series of The Repair Shop?
As ever, there are more breathtaking repairs and emotional moments in store. The first episode of the new series will see four treasured possessions brought to the barn in the hope of being restored.
The first is a 1970s football match programme brought in by a former professional goalkeeper, for a game he played with football legend Sir Bobby Moore. Next, the team will tackle a treasured teddy bear, given to its owner at birth and loved ever since.
An electric guitar cracked at the neck is also brought to the barn, as well as an army medal in need of restoring.
Where is The Repair Shop filmed?
The Repair Shop is filmed at the Weald and Downland Living Museum in Singleton, West Sussex. The set is located is in the museum's Court Barn, which is closed to the public while the series is being filmed.

The talented Repair Shop cast includes: upholsterer Jay Blades, metal worker Dominic Chinea, clock restorer Steve Fletcher, leather worker Suzie Fletcher, carpenter and cabinet-maker Will Kirk, toy restorers Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell, ceramics conservator Kirsten Ramsay, painting conservator Lucia Scalisi, and antique photography specialist Brenton West.
How to apply for The Repair Shop
If you have a sentimental item that needs new life breathed into it, you can apply to have it restored on the show.
You can apply through an online application form on the Ricochet website, the production company that creates the show. All applicants must be aged 18 or over.
