Dutchwoman Cornelissen, the winner of the previous edition of her home World Cup qualifier, has claimed victory five out of the last six times she has competed with Jerich Parzival.

Among those trying to do upset the form book on Saturday will be the likes of Cornelissen's compatriots Edward Gal and Patrick van der Meer while Germany's Helen Langehanenberg and Italy's Valentina Truppa should not be discounted as potential winners at the sixth and penultimate leg of the World Cup.

Show jumping also features on the schedule in Amsterdam with a heavy Dutch contingent set to lift home hopes; a total of 23 out of 43 riders in the CSI4* will be from the host nation.

Gerco Schroeder, Marc Houtzager and Maikel van der Vleuten will be absent, but most other Dutch stars are set for action, including the Leopold van Asten and his brother Matthijs, Jeroen Dubbeldamn and Harrie Smolders.

Meanwhile the foreign contingent will boast the likes of Belgian Jos Lansink, French riders Eugénie Angot, Julien Epaillard and Patrice Delaveau, and Daniel Deusser of Germany.

Although the January 17 to 18 event is called Jumping Amsterdam the competition is multi-disciplinary with para-dressage and carriage driving also on the agenda.
