The Swiss city will celebrate 25 years of hosting the event with various sideshows over the weekend but the main focus will firmly remain on the action in the arena from January 25 to 27.

Christian Ahlmann, who was imperious in Leipzig last weekend, headlines the line-up but the German can expect strong competition from Dutch duo Marc Houtzager and Gerco Schroeder.

Also set to feature in the medal hunt will be Frenchman Kevin Staut, while home hopes Pius Schwitzer and Olympic champion Steve Guerdat - with Nino des Buissonnets - are sure to capture the public's imagination.

A valuable 20 points towards qualifying for the World Cup finals in Gothenburg are on offer for the winner, who will also receive a Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake.
