The gravel event is a round of the Asia-Pacific championship, which the 22-year-old currently leads following wins in New Zealand and Australia this season in a works-supported ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000.
“It’s going to be quite a difficult rally in 40 degrees,” said Lappi, who won last season’s ERC-counting Rally Poland.
“Then I will come to Zlín, which won’t be easy because I here it’s a hard event and there will be a lot of fast drivers there.”
Barum Czech Rally Zlín will be Lappi’s fifth start on asphalt following a career spent largely competing on gravel and snow in his native Finland.
He will drive a ŠKODA Motorsport Fabia.
