Ekaterina Stratieva, the top-scoring woman driver in the 2012 European Rally Championship and the highest-placed female finisher on the Canary Islands Rally, is set to go up against Molly Taylor (pictured), who confirmed her eight-event ERC schedule will begin on the Atlantic archipelago’s gravel contest, which will be shown live on Eurosport.

Taylor, from Australia, said: “I am very excited to take part in the European championship. The rally will be a very good experience for me. It will be a very interesting challenge.” Bulgarian Stratieva added: “I don’t have big experience on gravel but one day I must learn.”

Both will drive Citroens in the Azores with Taylor competing in a DS3 R3T and Stratieva set to rally a C2 R2.
