Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly wants to raid his former club Ajax again and sign three more of their players.

United have already brought in two new additions in the current January window in the shape of goalkeeper Jack Butland and striker Wout Weghorst, both on loan deals from Crystal Palace and Burnley respectively.

However, Ten Hag is keen to add more, with his old club Ajax once again the main focus of attention.

The Dutchman brought Lisandro Martinez (£48.3m) and Antony (£86m) with him after arriving at Old Trafford last summer.

And now The Sun reports that Ten Hag will return to his routes and try and sign three more Ajax stars.

The first name mentioned is highly-rated centre-back Jurrien Timber, who was linked with United last summer before the Martinez deal was done.

The 21-year-old has spent his entire career at Ajax, having progressed through the club’s youth academy. He also currently has 14 caps for the Netherlands to his name, despite his tender age.

Timber is known for his ability to play in either a back three or back four and his potential arrival would surely signal the end for Harry Maguire.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag is also keen on right-back Devyne Rensch, who has also impressed in 20 appearances this term.

Like Timber, the talented 19-year-old also came through the ranks and was first capped by the Netherlands in 2021.

And finally, 20-year-old central midfielder Kenneth Taylor is also on his old bosses’ radar.

Taylor has scored five goals and added three assists in 14 Eredivisie games this season. He is also another already capped by his country.

Ten Hag is also known to want another attacker on board, especially this month, after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.

Reports on Sunday suggest that United and Arsenal are both monitoring Real Betis winger Luis Henrique.

The Brazil Under-21 international has had an impressive campaign with Betis so far and is highly thought of in Spain.

However, former United skipper Rio Ferdinand has his own thoughts on which big-name striker United should sign next.

The in-form Red Devils are back in action on Wednesday night when they head to Crystal Palace in the league.
