Tunney, 20, has opted to retire from the sport after a career which saw her twice crowned senior British all-around champion in 2012 and 2014 and help the team to European silver in 2014.
She was also famously the youngest member of Team GB at London 2012 and won team and vault gold as well as floor bronze at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games.
The City of Liverpool gymnast is now shifting her focus to her university studies – although she plans to move into gymnastics coaching in the future.
"I've enjoyed some incredible moments as a Great Britain and City of Liverpool gymnast," she said.
