Liverpool fans are not happy.
But do they have a point on this occasion?
The Reds hosted Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday, with their former striker Christian Benteke proving an unwelcome success on his return to the ground, scoring twice in a 2-1 win for the relegation-threatened visitors.
Benteke visibly held back with his on-field celebrations out of respect for the club he used to play for.
But the same can’t be said for Mamadou Sakho, who was only to happy to revel in the goals as his loan-club got the better of his parent club.
And the reaction of Sakho drew an immediate and furious reaction from Liverpool fans on Twitter.
It does seem to be pretty crass to celebrate the loss of a club who you are owned by.
Yet it’s hardly a surprise that Sakho wanted to stick it to the club who turned their back on him and effectively forced him out.
What do you think? Who’s in the right?
