Tom Brady’s life is never boring.
And the five-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback can now add a tale of an FBI investigation to his next autobiography having been reunited with the shirt he was wearing when he won Super Bowl LI last month.
This is a crazy story, so let’s break it down…
The jersey went missing in the aftermath of the New England Patriots’ historic comeback win in Houston.
And Brady even talked about the mystery of the missing jersey after the game when he said:
“I put it in my bag and then came out and it wasn’t there anymore, so it’s unfortunate because that’s a nice piece of memorabilia. So if it shows up on eBay somewhere, someone let me know, try to track that down.”
Houston police immediately went on the hunt for the missing item and somewhere along the line the FBI got involved, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation announcing on Monday that they had hunted down the stolen item on “foreign soil”.
But who took it?
Well, it appears that somebody posing as an international media member at the NFL showpiece took advantage of the outstanding press access and pilfered the jersey (and another worn by Brady in the 2015 Super Bowl) out of his bag in the locker room. Yes, really!
Here at LeBuzz we’re just happy that there was a happy ending.
But what a ridiculous story! Anyone else thinking Hollywood blockbuster?
