Former Sevilla star Luis Fabiano has been involved in a hugely controversial incident in Brazilian football.
On Sunday, the striker, now playing for Vasco Da Gama, was red carded after a clash with a referee.
As the video below shows, Fabiano had just been booked by Luis Antonio Silva, when he went to remonstrate with the match official.
Silva has been accused of faking the effects of a headbutt by the striker before brandishing the red card, and there does appear to be a sliver of fresh air between the foreheads of the two men.
But if you look carefully, you can see quite clearly that Fabiano knocks the ref off balance with a push from his chest.
Whether that merits the dramatic response, and near collapse, from the referee is another question.
“With Luis Fabiano, the interpretation is different,” said, er, Luis Fabiano.
