Nick Kyrgios made headlines again on Tuesday, for good and bad reasons, during his highly entertaining third-round win over Ivo Karlovic at the Miami Open.
Kyrgios, in the words of the Daily Telegraph’s reporter Vicki Hodges, “drew boos from the crowd midway through the match for appearing to reprimand a ball boy”.
Well, the fiery Australian was apparently very unhappy at the way a ball was thrown at him – and made his feelings known with the following reaction:
“How am I supposed to catch that…? It’s right at my feet!”
Thankfully, though, Kyrgios made up for the rather unsavoury incident by seeking out the ball boy in question and making peace with him.
Lifting off the ball boy’s cap with his arm on his shoulder, Kyrgios turned it around to the delight of the crowd and the child.
Oh, and yes, of course there was a very unnecessary but glorious tweener involved too…
So another very eventful match from the 21-year-old.
