United join race for Sessegnon
Manchester United have joined Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon according to the Mirror. The 16-year-old has been hugely impressive this season for Fulham in the Championship and United are hoping that their history of developing young players will prove persuasive in their bid.
Paper Round's view: Sessegnon is clearly a very talented young player but surely right now his best bet is to stay with Fulham? Is another couple of years or even a few more going to really stagnate his development? If anything the regular football would probably help him. Of course the lure of a big club may well prove to be too much.
Barca put Bellerin, Hernandez, Coutinho and Verratti on wishlist
According to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Barcelona have Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho on their transfer wishlist for the coming season. Coutinho and PSG midfielder Marco Verratti are the two players who are designated to strengthen the midfield whilst Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Atletico Madrid's Theo Hernandez are the two players picked for the full-back position.
Paper Round's view: There's something to be said about the fact that Barcelona are keen to sign players rather than promote their own but losing Coutinho would certainly be a huge blow to Liverpool's chances. Especially so soon after him signing a new bumper deal.
