Real want Hazard and Courtois
The big story from the Guardian's Sid Lowe is that Champions League holders Real Madrid want to sign Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea in the summer. Real reportedly want to begin planning for the post-Cristiano Ronaldo era and see Hazard as the perfect replacement whilst they want Courtois to reinforce their goalkeeping situation. The report says that Real are not concerned that Hazard and Courtois have both committed their future to Chelsea this season.
Paper Round's view: On one hand this could easily be seen as rubbish. Hazard and Courtois both seem happy at Chelsea under Antonio Conte and they should win the Premier League. It also seems like it could be the reverse situation of when Sergio Ramos used Manchester United's interest as leverage for a new contract. It's worth remembering both Hazard and Courtois are reportedly discussing new deals. However, both have expressed interest in playing abroad in the past and it's not as if they're totally loyal to Chelsea. Probably best for Chelsea to announce those new contracts sooner rather than later.
Manchester United edge closer to Antoine Griezmann
Right there's a couple of stories with this one. The back page of the Express has a story about how Griezmann could sign for United in a £95 million deal following comments from Diego Simeone. However the bigger story may come from the Manchester Evening News who report that the deal is extremely close with sources close to the player convinced it will happen. This report says this deal will cost £86 million.
Paper Round's view: This deal is quickly becoming the same as Pogba last summer, something that you know is going to happen but now it's just having to wait for it. If United keep dragging on every deal for as much marketing as possible it's going to get very boring very quickly.
