Espanyol vs Barcelona preview: LaLiga prediction, tickets, TV channel, live stream, H2H, odds, team news
With the winter break in the rearview mirror, LaLiga action resumes this weekend and bottom face top as local rivals Espanyol and Barcelona collide in the latest edition of the Derbi barceloni.
Date: Saturday January 4th, 2020
Venue: RCDE Stadium, Barcelona
Kick-off time: 8pm GMT
Prediction: Espanyol 0-3 Barcelona
It has been a wretched season thus far for Espanyol, who are anchored to the foot of the table and five points adrift of safety having won just two of their opening 18 matches.
A revival that they hope will see them avoid a first top-tier relegation since 1993 is unlikely to start this weekend against the reigning champions, who may well be competing to regain top spot, depending on how Real Madrid fare away to Getafe earlier in the day.
Barcelona easily dispatched of Alaves in their final fixture before the winter break and will be expected to produce a similarly comfortable win here to start 2020 with a bang.
